Sort of Soup
Well kiddies, you’ve been awfully patient. It’s been so long since I posted. I imagine the ten of you haven’t known what to do with yourselves.
I’ve had a good excuse: I was at Burning Man — probably the coolest thing I’ve ever done. And one of my soups even made a BM debut. Tyler and I ate leftover corn chowder, cold, right out of the glass jar I froze it in. But my two friends Mica and Sophia surpassed my soup dedication by setting up an entire “Souperhero” kitchen right there in the desert to feed our hungry monkeys.
I’ve been back for almost a week, but it’s been a slow reintroduction back into the world. I spent a couple of days recuperating, another few working super hard, and today overhauling my entire apartment — cleaning, reorganizing and rearranging. And with that, I’m fully back!
After eight hours of cleaning, I didn’t have it in me to whip up a totally new soup from scratch. So I’m making what I’ll call a “sort of soup” — a left over chicken dish I made a few nights ago, combined with some water, carrots, onions and peas. Soups on! (Sort of.)
